TONY FINDING

Chief Operating Officer, Director of Business Development

SUCCESS TO ME IS WATCHING OTHERS SUCCEED AS THE DIRECT RESULT OF MY ACTIONS.

I’m an Ohio boy who migrated to the East Coast about 20 years ago. Although I’ve adopted some of the local customs, I still drink pop, wear “tennis” shoes and am a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. My father (aka Coach) was my inspiration growing up, and to this day still is. I find myself saying things to the kids that I now coach that came straight from my dad. After playing a lot of different sports, I eventually settled into wrestling in college.

The TV character MacGyver was one of my idols growing up. I loved his resourcefulness. I would spend hours in the woods exploring and making things. I naturally gravitated towards the sciences in college and earned degrees in Environmental Science and Biology from Slippery Rock University. Since then, I have specialized in project management, remedial strategic planning, feasibility testing, and remedial implementation. I am also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, a New Jersey certified Industrial Waste Water Treatment System operator (Class N-2), and a Maryland Waste Water Treatment System operator (Class I-1).

I’ve been part of the BSTI family since 2000. My Midwest upbringing comes out in my work style. I’m responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company as well as managing projects and clients. My passion is remediation. Successful remediation projects require intellect, experience and that all important MacGyver ingenuity. We track “pounds removed” here at BSTI. I love seeing that number grow.

When I’m not working, I’m either hanging with my family, mountain biking with my wife or coaching. And, when I really have time to myself, you can find me and my fly rod on a stream somewhere with a big smile on my face.
