NOTHING IN THE WORLD CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF PERSISTENCE
I grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania where I still reside with my parents and three
cats. Whether I was playing sports or on a camping trip with the boy scouts, I was
always keeping busy. As an Eagle Scout, I learned to love and respect the environment
and our world through numerous backpacking, canoeing, and hiking trips in Switzerland,
Canada, and Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
I played a lot of sports growing up, such as swimming, football, and a little bit of wrestling, but I really loved playing rugby which I continued to play through college at Penn State. In my spare time, you can find me playing disc golf with friends or cheering on any one of the Philadelphia sports teams. I also like to travel, most recently driving across the country and a trip to Europe.
At Penn State, I was an undeclared freshman leaning towards Environmental Science
and then discovered my love for geography in the beginning of my sophomore year.
Here I was introduced to GIS and all the different ways that it can be applied, which is
only growing. After graduating from Penn State, I worked as an assistant brewer at
Wrong Crowd Beer Company while simultaneously completing my masters in
Geography at West Chester University.
As I start my new role at BSTI as Field II Environmental Scientist, I look forward to
working on all our various projects by completing field work, GIS work, and whatever
else is asked of me. I’m very excited to be a part of this great team and continue to
learn more about how to protect our planet.
