TONY FINDING
Chief Operating Officer, Director of Business Development
SUCCESS TO ME IS WATCHING OTHERS SUCCEED AS THE DIRECT RESULT OF MY ACTIONS.
I am an Ohio native who migrated to the East Coast shortly after college. Although I’ve adopted some of the local customs, I still drink pop, wear “tennis” shoes and am a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. My father (aka Coach) was my inspiration growing up, and to this day still is. I find myself saying things to the kids that I know coach that came straight from my dad. After playing a lot of different sports, I eventually settled into wrestling in college and competed at the Division I level.
The TV character MacGyver was one of my idols growing up. I loved his resourcefulness. I would spend hours in the woods exploring and making things. I naturally gravitated towards the sciences in college and earned degrees in Environmental Science and Biology from Slippery Rock University. My Midwest upbringing comes out in my work style. My passion is remediation. Successful remediation projects require intellect, experience and that all important MacGyver ingenuity. We track “pounds removed” here at BSTI. I love seeing that number grow.
I’ve been part of the BSTI family since 2000. On a corporate level, I serve as BSTI’s Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Development. I am responsible for enhancing, protecting, and promoting the company through monitoring daily operational processes, improving operational efficiencies, maximizing profits, and evaluating business market strategies. From a technical level, I specialize in risk management for contaminated sites, remedial investigation, remedial program design and implementation.
When I’m not working, I’m either hanging out with my family, mountain biking with my wife or coaching. And, when I really have time to myself, you can find me and my fly rod on a stream somewhere with a big smile on my face.
