PFAS Solutions
Regulatory and liability issues associated with Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) have become an important concern for a wide variety of businesses, real estate stakeholders, public health agencies, and consumers.
PFAS are widely used, long lasting chemicals, components of which break down very slowly over time. Because of their widespread use and persistence in the environment, many PFAS are found in the blood of humans and animals and have been detected in a variety of food products, drinking water, and in the environment. Scientific studies have shown that exposure to some PFAS may be linked to harmful health effects in humans and animals.
The United States government and every state are scrambling to develop cleanup limits and regulatory policies to address this concern. How emerging regulations will affect businesses, real estate stakeholders, local governments, and the public is still largely unknown.
BSTI has been actively supporting our clients to address their concerns about PFAS. The services listed below are backed up by advanced scientific knowledge, up to date regulatory awareness, and actual experience working through PFAS assessment and remediation projects.
